Hey guys! I am so sorry for the lack of posts lately but I have been busy finishing up with school stuff. I am now ready to start posting more regularly! Lets get started with my May Favorites!
This bronzer has been amazing this month! It was given to me as a birthday present at the end of April and I have been loving it ever since! This shade in particular is great for paler skin. It doesn't have too much of a orange or "golden" undertone yet it still gives the face warmth. The powder itself is soft, buttery, and oh so easy to blend! I apply this with my Real Techniques Powder Brush which applies pretty much anything beautifully! The store claims that it is matte. It is, but not a flat matte. The only down side I see to this product is the price tag. Although it is not the worst price I have ever seen, it is defiantly not the best. Needless to say, I love this bronzer!
I have wanted to try a new mascara lately. Not that I didn't like my everyday mascara, I just wanted a change. Anyway, when I was in Ulta a couple weeks ago I needed to spend a little more to get a discount off so I decided to buy this. I have always thought very highly of Maybelline mascaras but I have never tried this one so I gave it a go. I will say that this mascara does not give that false lash effect that some girls have to have. I do like mascaras that give that look, but during the summer I like something a bit more natural. This product gives volume at the root of the lash and doesn't clump them together at the ends. It adds enough definition so that I feel complete, yet it doesn't weigh them dow. I feel that this mascara holds a curl well. Throughout the day it does not flake away and it comes off easily at night. Overall this is a good summer mascara! If you wanted to go even more natural you could go for the brown option.
I guess that this is considered skin care. Every morning before I apply my makeup or if I'm not applying makeup at all, I will mix my moisturizer ( available at Target ) and my MAC strobe cream. They are both moisturizing products which is awesome for my dry and sensitive skin. The real reason I mix these two is because the deluded strobe cream gives the skin a beautiful, dewy, summer-time glow! If I accidentally mix in too much strobe cream I will add it to the high points of my cheek bones and that makes a much more intense highlight. I really think that I am going to enjoy this product all summer long. Although, I hate how the strobe cream is way more expensive than the moisturizer. But on the other hand, you only need the smallest amount of the strobe cream so I'm sure it will last me a while!
I have never been one for lip products, let me just make that clear. But a couple weeks ago I was watching a Tanya Burr video from way back when and she used the most gorgeous lipstick and I knew I had to have it. ( Good thing it was inexpensive) It was the Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya and guys... I'm in love. I literally wear this whenever I get the chance. I had no doubts that I would love it considering that I have already bought a Lip Butter this past fall in Berry Smoothie. I guess you could say I'm hooked on the formula. It almost feels like a balm which I appreciate! I will say that if you are wanting a long-wear lip color then you better look elsewhere because this product gives me a maximum of four hours. Keep in mind that that is if you don't eat, drink, or touch your lips within that period of time. Either way, I love this coral/pink lipstick. It is absolutely perfect for summer! Also, if you don't like scented lip products then you'll like this because it has no scent or taste whatsoever. I personally wished it had a nice fruity scent but we can't get everything we want!
Well guys, that's it! I hope you enjoyed this months favorites! I can't wait to start posting more and more for you guys since I'm now out of school! Remember to comment down below of things you would like me to post about! I hope y'all are having a wonderful start to summer!
